This model letter is for Christian parents to give to public school teachers and administrators requesting that their child be excluded from participation in any curriculum, assignment, literature, or festivity having to do with issues involving “LGBTQ+” while in school. Parents of other faiths can simply modify this template to reflect statements from their own faith.
This model letter is designed for Christian parents to provide to public school teachers and administrators to remind them of their child’s fundamental rights to speech and religious exercise. It explains core Christian beliefs about the nature of male and female, as well as the existence of just one race - the human race. It explains that, as a parent, you do not permit your child to be required or pressured into speaking words and messages (e.g. gender ideology and critical race theory) that violate their faith and conscience.

Governor Youngkin’s administration released new model policies to replace the 2021 Model Policies for the Treatment of “Transgender” Students. The previous model policies are now formally withdrawn. Schools are encouraged to follow these policies.
