Hon. Ken Cuccinelli

Ken Cuccinelli holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Virginia, a J.D. from the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University, and a Master’s in International Commerce and Policy from George Mason University.

With over 25 years of experience as a trial and appellate litigator—including constitutional law—Mr. Cuccinelli has served at both the state and federal levels of government. He represented Fairfax County in the Virginia State Senate from 2002 to 2010 and served as Virginia’s Attorney General from 2010 to 2014. During his tenure, he led national litigation against the Affordable Care Act and other unconstitutional federal overreach, spearheaded anti-human trafficking initiatives, and achieved record enforcement against gangs, healthcare fraud, and child predators—all while championing life, liberty, and the rule of law.

At the federal level, he served as Acting Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and later as Acting Deputy Secretary of Homeland Security. In this role, he managed a $50+ billion budget and played a key role in immigration reform, homeland security, and election integrity, including serving as an original member of the White House Coronavirus Task Force.

Following his federal service, Mr. Cuccinelli led the Election Transparency Initiative—a joint effort by the Susan B. Anthony List and American Principles Project—focused on safeguarding state control over elections and promoting secure, transparent, and accountable election systems.

A frequent media contributor and trusted expert on issues ranging from constitutional law to homeland security, Mr. Cuccinelli remains an influential voice in national policy.

He and his wife, Teiro, are lifelong Virginians and proud parents of seven children, two sons-in-law, and two grandchildren (so far). In his free time, he enjoys time with family, reading, target shooting, playing ultimate frisbee, and cheering on college basketball.
